So I’ve finally gotten ahold of the 1948 Superman serials season one and I’m impressed. I love the whole old school vibe. I know I’m glad to be a member of the post 2000s club but this was a fascinating time. Superman also known as Kal-El comes to dwell as a god among men as his planet was exploding. His dad tried to warn the high council that Krypton was exploding but they wouldn’t listen and everyone except baby Kal-El died.
Now Kal-El is adopted and when he was leaving to go out on his own his foster mom made him a superhero costume. Now he’s superman, a hero for his new planet. He tries to stop a train or repair it. Now we’ll see him out to the whole world, a temporary Saviour until Jesus comes again.
