This was a rather strange and silly episode of The Twilight Zone. A librarian declared obsolete to the state and mankind in a futuristic world is sentenced to death by means of his choosing. He chooses to die in a bomb explosion but outsmarts the chancellor by tearing him down and making him a coward in the eyes of God almighty whose existence he initially denied. He eventually gets deemed obsolete himself and is killed by an angry mob.
