This was an awesome Twilight Zone episode. We see a glimpse of what future prisons are like, from a 1959 perspective and it’s traumatic. A man who acted in self-deefense in the 1950s got life on prison without a pardon and the only time he sees another human being is when they are to check on him and give him supplies. Funny enough they send a robot, an android to use to keep him company which he rejects for a while and then grows fond of.
He loves his Alyssa and when he gets a pardon he can’t part with her as the additional load is too great for the space ship to carry back to earth. The man in charge of the mission kills the android forcing Cory, the prisoner to regain his senses and they all leave without her. The android was beautiful but was just a machine. Sad, but it wasn’t scary as I know the Twiligt Zone to be. It was just a tear-jerker.
