Movie Review: Timelock

This movie was released in 1996 but it doesn’t get a free pass for being bad. It featured a misfit computer thief, a pretty blonde agent and her partner who was secretly working for a bunch of space criminals in the future. It had a lot of violence but while violent it was P.G.and it was innocent, like watching carebears shoot hearts of firepower at each other. I mean,a guy was set on fire and he escaped without a scratch, and it wasn’t like he was Superman.

Additionally that same guy looked like a cross between Henry Cavill and a southerner from France with zero personality. I wonder if that actor ever got laid. He looked ugly and his accent or twang was ugly. The blonde was the daughter of the space agency’s admiral, a lawman in the future and this movie was set in spaceships beyond wormholes.

This film made no sense and there was no nudity or profanity. The story was just violence from beginning to end with no real story, just two characters moving from one end of a ship to the other. They were all prisoners trying to escape to a safe location in space and one of the prisoners was sacrificing his own half brother.

The ending was good as the two main characters though one good and one a thief, they had sex and afterwards drank champagne to celebrate their tryst and the end of a bunch of space criminals who almost killed them.

I did notice too that the blonde’s partner in the force was played by an actor who starred frequently in the hit TV sitcom Family Matters. Once as Laura’s boyfriend and another as the leader of a gang which Steven Urkel infiltrated. Thick movie sucks!
