So I’m watching this particular epuisode for the second time so some things are making sense. We see that Kotaro and his friend have been alive and in the shadows for fifty years and Kotaro is a drifter, somewhat trying to protect humans from a race known as the kaijins who like mutants in X-Men are facing severe discrimination.
It’s sad but a young girl, Aiko is trying to bridge the gap and went to the United Nations in New York to embrace equality and tolerance but is facing pushbacks. Kaijins are good and bad but the hate is so thick. But people are somewhat coming around like anti-racism it’s taking sometime. Obama, anyone?
