The Twilight Zone: Review: Nightmare at 20,000 Feet

I was ready to give up watching the last season of The Twilight Zone as the first two episopdes were just weak, random stories but after giving this one a chance I realized that Rod Serling remembered why he made this show and decided to review this particular episode. This one was fire. Wiliam Shatner is an amazing actor and can’t seem to die being in his nineties. Star Trek what? This episode made an impact on my interest in this show that I will never forget.

We see William Shatner, a mental case try to kill an imaginary yeti while traveling on a plane. He was convimced that this creature was trying to sabatoage his plane and borrowed someone’s gun to try to kill the creature. Bad move! He almost killedd himself, his wife and everyone else on the plane before being stopped after about five shots. He was later placed in a straight jacket and institutionalized.

It was scary and I felt bad for William having to play this role. It changes my outlook on him having to be so helpless and frail. I guess that’s how it goes sometimes. You take the bitter with the sweet.
