Inspector Henderson almost gets kicked off the police force. Phew, that was a close one. Someone was trying to blackmail Henderson and almost succeeded. A couple of gangster thugs wanted to send Henderson up the river and paint him as a croocked cop but failed thanks to Clark Kent and Superman. Plus Jimmy and Lois get raises while almost blowing the case and getting Henderson in trouble. But the law has a long arm indeed and things worked out great.
I think that this episode threw me off, the title I mean. It is titled, “Blackmail.” I thought someone was going to figure out Superman’s identity and use it to blackmail him but nothing could be further. It’s the inspector who was the target and they knew what category to use and what buttons to push. But Clark stuck with his friend knowing very well how the situation was and saved him.
